Has anyone else seen the Joy Division do***entary? I loved it, but there was a bit in the titles that kind of disturbed me. At the beginning the words 'Joy Division' appear letter by letter, but not in a sequence. It's like when an i appears, all the other i's appear, when an o appears all the other o's appear, and so on...My boyfriend and I imediately looked at each other and went "OMG it's THE HANGMAN" and found it pretty distasteful. Are we just being malicious, or is it actually there?

I REALLY want to see this...the trailer made it look great but even though they showed the trailer in my local indie cinema, I don't think they're showing the do***entary itself...which is odd because Control was a massive ticket seller for the place...

It's just lots of people telling the Joy Division story from their point of view, mainly the guys from the band, but also Tony Wilson, people that saw them in concert, Annik etc. Deborah Curtis is not in it at all, apart from a couple of pages from Touching From a Distance that are shown on the screen, so it's pretty different from Control.
I loved it, it shows pretty well what Manchester used to be like and where the band came from. When Peter Hook described how he reacted when they told him that Ian was dead it was pretty...peculiar.
