Top Chef - Chicago

Anyone a fan of this show? I like it a lot because it focuses on the food, more than the relationships. You do get the gist of people that can't stand each other but it's based on their ability as a chef.

It starts back up on Wednesday!

yeah i mean well.... are they going to get an exception to this:

Foie Gras Banned In Chicago, Law Affecting Restaurants Is Passed Despite Mayor's Opposition - CBS News

because otherwise i'm worried. past seasons have been obsessed by foie gras. i swear someone found a way to make it for every goddamn challenge. including ice cream.

but no i like it. the only problem i have with it (and this is really my problem with all food shows) is that i don't like to see people chewing. and half the time on top chef, a judge will start to comment on the food before they totally swallow it. and man that pisses me off.

I am fascinated to know how you heard about the Foie Gras being banned. That cracked me up!!

They are obsessed with it. Maybe it's all been taped prior to the evil Foie Gras ban. Wtf is going on in Chicago?

I have issues with reality television and it got worse with the writers strike. If it's shitty reality I watch it, but this show and a few other are the exception. I think it's great!

I actually really like Top Chef quite a lot. Yes, I am a big fan of food, but I also think there is something really sexy about chefs. I'm talking chefs with true talent and passion. Not your local pizza cook down the street. I always tell mself if there was a person in a certain profession to date it would be a chef. I also wouldnt mind tasting Chef Tom's noodle...if you know what I mean.

Overall I think it's a good show, as are many Bravo shows.
