but i'm still bitter about the whole thing, because when she came out or whatever i was like "oh my god!" and everyone i knew was like "what you didn't KNOW that?" well, i didn't.

does this mean you saw that movie? what was it like? i didn't have much drive to see it, but i still like to know these things. for my files.

I heard that The Brave One isn't anything like the trailers made it out to be. I bought it in a semi-manic state and plan to watch it soon. Hopefully it is good!

i've only seen some of it - i didn't really notice, like her sexuality wasn't in the front of my mind when i watched it. Mind you i was a tad tired.

Probably because she doesn't really play any sex bomb roles in general that would make you think of that sort of thing. She always seemed a-sexual to me, even when playing straight on screen.

i thought the movie was kind of okay but the ending sucked. actually the movie is like a crashing train. it's cool as it's going but the ending was awful. jodie was great though and i loved that she wasn't playing a mommy for once. and there's a great scene there wherein she's lying in the hospital, bruised and bloody and it's intercut with that guy and her making love.

and no, she is still a lesbian.

i could believe her being with a guy, but that kid talking to the police sketch artist and getting all hard over jodie foster crossed the line of believability.

haha sayid from lost and jodie foster did not make a handsome couple...

I liked the movie overall though, and I think most critics who panned it did so because they "didn't agree with the morals". Neither did I, but it didn't make the movie bad by any means. I admit the ending is unrealistic, but it's oh so satisfying.

Jodie Foster is my favorite actress ever. I just wish she would do better movies than she's doing now. She's such a great actress and screen presence that she can draw you into her films so well even if they aren't great. But she needs another really great film and role.

I don't think it really matters that she is a lesbian because like someone already said she has never relied on being some glamour girl and the roles we know and love her most for aren't the ones where she's playing a love interest, it's the ones where she's on her own personal journey like in Silence of the Lambs, Contact, The Accused. I mean her best chemistry has been opposite a cannibal not some male matinee idol. That makes her unique. She's does these dark roles where she's not just strong and determined yet very vulnerable.

Most people that heard she was a lesbian don't really care at all because we still love Jodie and respect her as an actress. But anyway I think she is a legend and she was a sensational actor even as a 12 year old she was better than most adult actresses. She rocks. Hey and she was in this french movie A Very Long Engagement and was fabulous and was believable straight there. lol.
