| | | X-3(Spoilers) I was just wondering what everyone else's thoughts were on X-3. I saw the midnight showing, going in with somewhat low expectations, and got a piece of shit. Arrrrg. Now I heard there was a secret ending that I didn't stick around for, because I was still pissed that Rogue took the serum. Supposedly, Xavier is still alive? I might go see it again to see this ending. All around, it just didn't have the feeling of X-Men and X-2. Singer did an amazing job with those movies, and now Ratner had to go fuck it up. Your thoughts on the film? |

| | | I actually thaught a good job was done, but I am a huge fan of the original source material. I'm glad there wasn't a happy ending all round. The only criticism that I could possibly have was it was a bit too busy, but then again it would have had to have been an epic to fully realise all the subplots. The ending exites me, as I thin kit points to Onslaught. Kelsey Grammer was awesome as the beast, It's just a shame that more light could not have been shed on Juggernaut and angel, but there is room for them in a sequal. The fact that Rouge took the serum is useless as it obviously didn't work properly as magneto still pushed his magnetic chess piece at the end, but if even it is permanent, I think it was an awesome moment of charecterisation.
And that is my 2 cents. |

| | | SPOILER ALERT:
I thought it was pretty good, X2 is still my favorite.
I have a feeling though that the serum is temporary. It seemed like at the end they were implying that Magneto was going to regain his power.
also as for the secret ending. Remember the guy it showed that Prof X asked how ethical it would be to put a dying man's mind in his healthy body. Well it showed that guy but with prof X's voice. |

| | Heh, yeah, I'll probably go see it again. The stupid reel got messed up with the audio, so the audience I was with pretty much missed the entire Golden Gate Bridge scene. I really wish they did focus a little bit more on Angel. Seeing the Beast in action was nice. Ratner was saying that this was the last X-Men movie...I guess I'll just ignore that. I wonder what the Wolverine movie will focus on. I would love it if it was about his entire life, and based on the Origin comic. I knew that the serum would be temp, but it just made me sad that Rogue would change herself like that. |

| | | I thought it was a bit rubbish.
on a purely action fan level there was no cool wolverine fight and he is the best character, all the other good charaters just died (or were nullified) for rubbish reasons, juggernaught isn't a mutant and vinnie jones is a shit actor in an awful costume, there was hardly any mention of colosuss even though he was one of the main good guys and worst there was literally no storyline at all to follow.
on a slightly more arsey level, The magneto/xavier relationship is totally essential to the story, it's so complicated and frought with mutual respect and everything, to have xavier die in the way he did was so rubbish. Worse though, was the kinda morals it through up, the whole mutant situation is kinda based on racism and to nullify Magneto in such a way in the end I think brings up some pretty dark morals. I mean, it was kinda like, it's ok to nullify what's different about someone if they are too much of a pain in the ass with it. It was the first time the good guys found out about the weapon version of the gun and they were just like "hey, lets use it!"
the good things were. the beast was exellent, ian mckellan just seems to be saving every blockbuster type film he's in lately, the girl who plays mystique was naked for a few seconds.

| | | i really liked it. it is definately the end for a series because they killed off too many main chatacters. if they even considered a movie without Scott, Jean, or X, i would probably not see it in theaters. i would rent it... when it came out on MVP at hollywood video so i wouldn't have to pay for it.
anyway, the only problem i had with the movie was the introduction of TOO MANY new characters. Rogue should've gotten some more screen time, i mean, she was one of the key characters in the first movie. also, i felt like Angel had absolutely NO character devleopment. i mean, all of the new characters could've worked if they'd have made it a movie longer than 2 hours, which would've been kick ass. because if they'd have just developed characters but kept all the actionand stuff the same, i'm pretty sure it would've been better.
i liked the first one a lot, but the second one was kind of boring to me. maybe that's what they were trying to avoid with X3..... iunno. |

| | | it was an alright conclusion. i'm a bit miffed on the way it was handled but it was alright. i'm sad to see the series go because i could have done with a few more.
but yay to the midnight show moviegoers! i was one as well.
it's a conclusion to this "SERIES" however they plan on doing either a movie with magneto and/or wolverine. so get ready for that.

Both of them are in the pipeline.
Also I have heard that this will not be the last X-men (as a group) movie, but just tied up this trilogy. Even though that is not confirmed.... I hope so though. |

| | | I don't think anyone is really dead in the films. If you think about it, all the graves at the mansion are empty. If Jean could survive the death in X2 I think it's safe to say she has a good chance of surviving. I saw an idea on IMDB that maybe when they were disintergrated that they were maybe transported to another place.
I agree with the character development. I don't understand why they brought in Angel but never used him at all really.
Honestly what killed me the most was when Mystique was turned human. I was so upset. |

| | | I saw it at midnight too. I really like it. I thought it was really hilarious when Mystique took that shot for Magneto and he turned his back on her like yesterday's trash. hah hah. All in all I really enjoyed it. The Phoenix looked cool as hell I must say.
Rogue sucks for "curing" herself.
