Best supporting actor is going to be the race to watch this year--any of them would deserve to win.

Definately. I'm a big Blanchett fan, but Marion Cotillard made a gut wrenchingly perfect performance as Piaf.

I didn't see Elizabeth2, but I bet they'll give the oscar to Blanchett since they fucked up giving it to her the first time. They like doing that sort of thing.

I want No Country For Old Men to win best picture. So much.
& I wish Brolin had been nominated, but what can you do.

I read about this...umm. there's a reason but I can't remember very well. but it was sth about there being aother film that was France's official film that they sent in for the foreign film category....
so it's not like the academy doesn't think it's worthy of a nom in that category.


And can i just say how incredibly happy I am that Jolie didn't get nominated. there were rumors she would be nominated for A mighty heart, even though she was absolutely horrible in it (as in most of her other films, expect when she has to play someone with mental issues which I believe wasn't a very big problem at the time she did that film because she was all into being all edgy and oooh vials of blood and wow I just had sex in the car....
it's like when courtney was in Larry Flynt. that's not acting. that's just being yourself!)

Yay!!! I love that Viggo is up (should have been for any one of the LotR films), it's about time. I know he won't win, but the nom is great!

How many noms has this been for Depp -- his third? I say it's between him and DDL. Since Clooney already won recently, that may count against him; TLJ, meh; and Viggo, he's new to the major awards arena (not including indie awards). Although, I want Viggo to win.

I have actually seen none of anything on this list except for Sicko. Holy shit.

But where's Nothing Is Private? C'mon.
