That's what I did.
As long as people make the kind of movies that Daniel Day-Lewis wants to be in I'll be content with movies in general. He is so. good. & while watching the movie I thought he's got one of the best faces in movie history.
I must admit I'm finding PT Anderson's work a little tedious, but the big sky & the soundtrack & the Daniel & some of the shots made this a good movie. Yes.
No Country For Old Men, though. Man.

Yeah i need to see there will be blood so so badly, even though i completely agree that theres something really obtuse about anderson sometimes. thats ok, case theres something perfect about DDL and he doesn't disappoint ever. and he does have a great face. i always thought he looked a bit like zinedine zidane......

I just saw this amazing film. LOVED it!! Daniel Day-Lewis is perhaps one of the greatest actors of our generation. He was Perfect in this role. Now I have to read "Oil" and find more DDL movies. As for the director, this one wasn't nearly as disturbing as Magnolia, which was just WEIRD.

I saw the preview and got all these "Gangs of New York" vibes, and I have to say, I didn't feel too enthused. I'll probably see it out of loyalty to the director. But, I have some strong reservations.

I'm head over heels for Llewelyn Moss.

it just came to my little hole in wisconsin this weekend. so there may still be hope you know. and i may still be a bitch-ass ho.

I have a couple of trips away over the next month or so. I'll just have to fit it into my schedule, come hell or waters high. It's what I did for Control. I caught it on the very last day it was showing. It mattered to me.

I think I need to see it again too. but not because it was strange, just because I feel like I missed something.

this was my problem with the film- it didn't seem to be a metaphor for capitalism, it just seemed to be a blunt fact-telling story. I mean, it was artfully done and DDL is an amazing actor, but it really didn't leave much to the imagination. there wasn't much up for interpretation. I'm not used to, or perhaps not particularly fond of movies like this. I like to go away from a serious film asking myself questions and this film didn't inspire me to do that.

well i was wanting to see both No Country and There Will Be Blood but they came out for like two days at my cinema and me and my boyfriend take a while getting round to these things, also i wanted to see The Assasination Of Jesse James but it didnt even cme to my cinema AND i had tickets to go see Grindhouse in Edinburgh but my boyfriend was in pain so we didn't. and we meant to see Cloverfields as well. AND Paranoid fucking Park.
so BUGGER THAT - next time theres a film i really want to see at the cinema im going to be there the first day.

i could not believe how sensual daniel came off in this movie. it made me wonder if it was intentional (if so, fucking brilliant), or if it was natural (if so, fucking sexual).

im going to give the film a second spin for a number of reasons, but mostly because of the paul/eli situation.

I wish they bothered their arse to show it in the first place. Shocked that only 2-3 cinemas in the country screened it because they were being charged "too much" to house it and they "wouldn't get the returns." or some b.s.

we bought this on dvd and watched this again...so good!

I can't even describe how much I love this...and I really enjoy the soundtrack...it is incredible and scary.
