indie films

I've always been a fan of independent movies and I've been watching a lot of them lately. Do you like indie films? If so, what movies would you recommend? So far my favorites are Gegen die Wand/ Head- on(2004), Irréversible (2002), Osama (2003) and my all time favorite is of course Dancer in the Dark (2000). Independent films are probably more realistic and violent than most hollywood productions, that's what I like about them.

I just saw Irreversible last night. The brutality of the movie kinda shocked me at first but ultimately I found the storyline rather interesting and I liked it. I’m cool with violent movies when the violence it’s not pointless, i.e. I didn’t enjoy Requiem for a Dream because all of it’s free brutality didn’t make sense at all –just my opinion.

um. i don't know. it started as an original and interesting story, and from that point it could have gone in different directions, but it kinda disappointed me in the end.

jamie bell is really good, and i love von trier's work, but i guess this movie was $4 for a reason
