It's your basic stoner comedy, but better. Starring the hilarious Anna Faris, I would recommend this movie to just about anyone who wants to have a good laugh. It does sort of run out of steam toward the end, but hey, it's fucking Gregg Araki. That's how his movies usually go...

well, i've just seen the movie. imo araki never fails. it's a satire, silly, lighthearted and it made me laugh. that was its purpose, nothing more. maybe there's a hint of something dark and serious behind this girl's actions and thoughts, but i guess he left that for some other movie.

i read some of user's comments on imdb, you either love this movie or hate it. i loved it.

Y'see - for me the turning point of the movie was when the dealer came over - she owned him $380 - and no sex payment was made. Y'see, in real life, girls fuck for drugs. That's when it was all Hollywood fluff for me. The fact that this girl used the power bill for drugs was acceptable, because that is what stoners are like - but the plan she made really was stupid stereotypical behaviour and showed no insight.

I hate film that has stereotypes - like the white rasta drug dealer. She being the stoner was the typical stoner stereotype. She looked wasted - and no stoner LOOKS wasted like she did.

I really liked the opening sequence - the film could have gone in so many directions from there - I even liked the use of Arial font during her plan making. Including technology in film such as using a mobile phone to take a note and stuff really is 'modern' and 'cutting edge' for film right now. But sadly, not all stoners play video games.

Hackers take drugs too.

But, it was all to Disney for me, srry.
