| | | Waitress Has anyone seen this?
I thought it was pretty well done. Kind of offbeat, which I like, and I really liked Keri Russell in it. Never watched Felicity, but now I kind of wish I had. |

| | very sad re the director Adrienne Shelly...I had no idea she was the one playing the character "Dawn", and that she was found murdered last year (November 1, 2006).
sorry, I'm out of the loop and quite the |

| | | andy griffith was who you liked?
heh
keri was lovely, so luminous. such a bittersweet performance. why did amy adams get all the acclaim for playing a magical princess and not keri for such a layered performance. i love her. the movie is sweet and slow, nothing that outstanding but keri. such a starturn. |

| | I loved it so much. It really inspired me to start baking too. I never knew you could be so creative with pies!
*SPOILER*
But I fucking hated the ending. She totally should have ended up with the guy, no matter how typical Hollywood that would be. Now that guy, just like her throughout the movie, is going to be unhappy for the rest of his life like she was with Jeremy Sisto. That part ruined the movie for me. It just sucks to find the love of your life and let him go. WHATEVER. |

| | | I have to stick up for the ending. Even though the guy was sweet, he was still cheating on his wife for no particular reason.
I loved this movie. I bought it before I saw it out of support and am glad I did. If any of you rent it or buy it, spend the time on the extras, especially the memorial to Adrienne Shelly. She wrote, directed, and co-starred in the movie. 3 weeks after her murder her husband created the Adrianne Shelly Foundation, which provides funding for independent women filmmakers.
On a happier note, who else here wants the pie recipes from the movie? That movie made me want to experiment in the kitchen. I will create the strawberry-chocolate oasis pie! |

I'm making a caramel-chocolate-banana pie with a vanilla whipped cream on top with crushed walnuts for Christmas dinner! |

| | | It was poorly directed. Like a TV show rather than a movie. Way too much dialogue, not enough action.
Cute story though.
And yeah, the director was murdered in her bath-tub by her neighbour after he asked her to turn the music down. He tried to make it look like a suicide but he was nuts and couldn't fool the forensics. |

I've never tasted it but I imagine it is absolutely delicious. I WANT SOME! |

a film doesn't have to be edgy to be good
unless you're one of those people who only watch edgy movies |

She complained about the noise from the construction and he murdered her. He is awaiting trial. |

| | | I love this movie. I actually bought it today, and watched it tonight, after seeing it in theatres in June. I think it's sweet.. the exact kind of chick-flick I can stand - cute, but not vomit inducing. It helps that I love to cook and it totally inspires me to bake.
dialogue is not such a bad thing |
