I remember being 10 and watching this and thinking, "Wow, when I'm 15 I'm going to be so smart and deep!" And then I turned 15 and I realized that I was still stupid and so, in a different way, was this show. It got to be so much about the parents towards the end, and while this makes for technically better writing, I honestly didn't give a shit. I'd have rather seen a half-hour show that only featured the kids.

IMO, they made a mistake when Angela didn't sleep with Jordan (and what 15-year-old girl would actually turn a guy like that away, especially after crushing for so long?). There was this bizarre need to maintain Angela's "depth" and so they couldn't let her do normal things the normal way. I think they could have let her sleep with him and then examine how she felt afterwards.

I <3 how every now and then Brian Krackow shows up as a rapist/murderer on CSI or Law and Order.
