is anyone else hardout addicted to this show? my boyfriend and i are slowly getting through the first season (it isn't shown over here, so we've got them all downloaded... naughty naughty). i think we have about two episodes left for this season and im not sure if there even is a second one yet... i dont want it to be over!
it has jared whats-his-face from gilmore girls who it turns out isn't anywhere near as irritating when he isn't being dean.
it has a totally fucking awesome soundtrack too. best use of 'dont fear the reaper' ive ever heard.

I love this show, unfortunaely it was placed against CSI this season. Bad idea. Also, I was so used to the old time-slot that I forgot all about it and missed half the season...bless reruns, I need to catch up.

Love it. It's cheesy sometimes, but compared to most shows in its supposed genre it's definitely leagues above them all. The second half of the season really picked up and the writing was a lot better and had less...yeah, cheese. I can't wait until next season. I can definitely see it as one of those shows that just gets better and better. I find even the guys' acting got better, especially Jared Padalecki. Jensen Ackles was especially fabulous on the last 2 episodes.

I wish more people watched it, instead of brushing it off as some immature teen drama/Buffy-wannabe just because it was on the WB. I'll admit some episodes have just been really bad (Bloody Mary, Bugs), but every show has its duds per season.

I forgot to mention that Jeffrey Dean Morgan as their dad was terrific. Hopefully he's back next season a bit, which I'm sure he will. Not too much though, I think it'd take the dynamic away from the brothers.

i stopped watching after a few episodes. it was really really good at first. then it gets a bit sidetracked. you know how they start off hunting the demon that killed their mum and jessica? and then it goes off on god knows what.

That's pretty much the point of the show though. Even the first episode was side-tracked from the "kill The Demon" story line. The plot was mainly "find dad, and kick some ass while we're doing it."

yeah but surely they should be touching on some information about the original demon and how each episode theyre inching towards finding something out or clues about dads whereabouts? its like theyve forgotten about the demon completely after a while and dad/demon thing only comes up once every two or three episodes.

It was usually their dad who was sending them to places to hunt whatever it was they were hunting that week, while he was tracking down the main demon. Yeah, their main focus was to kill "The Demon", but they also grew up hunting anything that was bad with their dad, and not all of that was related to the original demon either, so it's more about them just kinda doing "their job". Also, I doubt the show would have lasted long if the entire focus was finding the main bad guy. That just seems like it'd be boring and would get kind of old fast if that's the only thing they were focusing on.

towards the end the focus comes back on the whole original demon a bit too.. they get back in touch with their dad and he's hot on its heels.. that's why he's disappeared.

I watched it quite a bit, mostly for the eye-candy. I'm over it now though. There wasn't really a continuos stream of entertaining episodes, it was kind of boring overall.

So, yeah, now I don't watch it. Has there been a vampire episode yet?

yeah there's a vampire episode towards the end of the first season, third to last i think (i just watched it today).
& of course, the vampires are fkn goffs.
