All American Girl

I have the dvd's of this series right now from netflix and it's not that bad. I was pretty skeptical because I know how good Margaret Cho's stand up is, and I didn't think a mid 90s ABC sitcom would capture it well, and I know about all the sad behind the scenes crap she went through. And although it her personality or humour isn't captured well here I still found it to be funny, especially the grandma, which seems to be more like her actual mother. I think they should have ditched the two kids, made the grandmother be her mom and been more risky and it would have been very great.

Margaret should get a show on cable, where her adult humour can be more appreciated!

Also, in the episode on the 3rd disc where Margaret and her two friends get an apartment, they have a Hole poster on the wall. So 1994!

I know I watched the show, and liked it, I just don't remember much about the show.

My girlfriend used to be her pet sitter a few years back, until she sold her business and moved to Sacramento(my friend) There went out free tickets to her L.A. area stand up shows!
