| | | you know i normally hate sarah jessica parker with a deep unbridled passion however she was actually good in The Family Stone.
excuse me as i've just cried for a good hour and forty five minutes while that movie was on, but A+ to horseface for not screwing up the movie like i thought she was going too. but it did help that for the majority of the beginning she was being made fun of.
that movie was modelled after my own, i'm quite sure.
oh this is my "review" i gave it two thumbs up. |

| | | i hate SJP as an actress and i cant look at her on screen. there is a good reason she was cast in hocus pocus. she was good in this movie though. i love the whole cast. |

It's an awesome movie, one of the best *I'VE* seen in a while. I'm going to buy the DVD, it's funny, its heartwrenching, its touching, it's everything. It's got a great cast too.
-I'm even gonna say that, this is probably up there in my favorite movies list.
And boy was I balling at the end of that movie in the theater! |

But she was on the Actor's Studio a few years ago and totally won me over. And she's not ugly, she's handsome. I know race horses who would kill for her facial structure.
I like watching her smoke on Sex and the City. She handles a cigarette better than most actresses. Especially that dreadful Winona Ryder. |

| | | Sarah Jessica Parker is cool. I love Sex & the City. I don't think she's ugly; she's not typically pretty, but she has a nice smile and great eyes.
I found The Family Stone to be pretty intolerable though. I found it frustrating because it had such potential - there were moments of this movie being really good, and the cast was great.
But this romantic holiday comedy/drama was really neither romantic or funny. Diane Keaton took up way to much screen time showcasing her dramatic acting skills, and a movie with everyone hugging and crying and 'coming to realizations together' with the accompaniment of 'touching' music is okay if it has other attributes holding it together, and I don't think this one did. I don't think the characters were very likeable in general. And the ending was ridiculous. I think a good romantic holiday comedy/drama is something like the movie Love Actually; it has romance, wit, comedy and drama, and in all the right doses.
That's just my opinion though, I know a lot of people who love The Family Stone. |
