is this guy a good actor?

ive read a few interviews with him and he comes off as such a hilarious asshole. and, he has an innate understanding of things. just the way i like 'em.

that movie had a strange feeling about it, which i think worked in its favor. although damn if it wasnt almost a remake of 'a place in the sun'!

he was in velvet goldmine though. in fact, that's the only movie i remember seeing him in.

he's brutally hot though. like, how is it even possible to be that good looking?

i've been in love with him since velvet goldmine, the gormenghast. but I LOVE HIM to pieces as Elvis.

I think he was the foppish boy that either Tom Cruise or Brad Pitt kill at the party near the beginning of the film, when Louis (Pitt) first becomes a vampire. That movie has a lot of famous people in it that you don't always notice at first, like Christian Slater. I'd seen the movie 10 times before I realised he was in it.

And now that you mention it, I definitely remember seeing J Rhys Meyers in Velvet Goldmine.

i like how he has the type of face that could go either way in one second.

actually, i think you're right about that. interview was my favourite movie when i was all of about 12 years old (yeah i was a sick kid) so i've seen it dozens of times, and i remember the guy you're talking about. in my head, it really looks like him.

and how do i always forget about christian slater?! duh.

I'm really really sure it was him, I don't care what imdb says. Because if you look at the cast list, it doesn't list the foppish boy. So I'm going to watch the movie again when I have a chance, because I'm sure it's him. And now I'm on a mission.

Yeah but everyone was awful in that movie, because the movie was awful. That was my first exper...wait, second experience not liking a Jonny film. The other being B Monkey....
