| Cops first, i think its an awful show because its reinforces negative ethnic and socioeconomic stereotypes
but since that wouldn't affect me personally, i hypocritically watch it on occasion because i find something entertaining about the exploitation of the everyman. the average joe is anything but on these types of shows.
ever tried to watch it stoned? you get sucked in. the repulsion and the addiction of it all is, of course, amplified to the extreme.
its like the discovery channel. a safe way to watch alligators. i wonder if rich or even middleclass people gather around the tube to gawk at the ghetto/trailerpark folks.
or is it mostly watched by the middle to lower classes? what is the target audience?
i like to study the personality of the cop. its fucking scary, but what do you think it takes to put on a badge and deal with people anyhow? i'm certainly not cut out for it, i don't even like management. guns and power don't make my dick hard either.
do you think if it were available, rich people would go on safari-like trips through bad neighborhoods? armed tour busses of steel and bulletproof glass to caravan the wealthy through the ugly terrain of the underprivileged. hey kids, if we're lucky we might witness a drive-by. an exaggerated and orwellian idea, i know...
guess im just generalizing and stereotyping the other side now.
I'm watching COPS at the moment, but I am sober, I swear. I just do it to crotchwatch and fetishize the ethnic.
ok now here's a question. do the accused lose their rights of consent to be on camera? I assume others directly related to the situation have to sign release forms...sometimes there are blurs and other times not. but the one in handcuffs is never blurred. |
