| | | movies set in medieval times I'm watching the Lord of the Rings and remembering how much I used to be in love with this time period as a child. Fantasy, realistic, it doesn't matter ... anything where people wear peasant clothes and there are swords and shit involved makes me happy. Any recommendations for future viewing? |

| | | I don't know why but that shit always annoyed the crap out of me.
The only ones that come to mind are:
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
Robin Hood Men In Tights
and A Cinderella Story
?? If that's even the right time period. |

| | | Tristan + Isolde is pretty good and nice and romantic. There's plently of sword fights and tumbling curls, plus James Franco looks good in a tunic. |

| | | I just watched the Princess Bride last night, haha, Columbo is the old man telling the boy the story, and the small boy is Kevin from the wonder years!!!! Its all very hammy, funny and adorable medieval adventure.
Im kind of stretching it here but; Jabberwocky, Brothers Grimm, Eragon, Sleepy Hollow, Time Bandits, Willow, Monty Python's Quest for the Holy Grail, The sword in the stone, Ladyhawke (scared me when I was small!) Merlin, Excalibur, Ivanhoe, The passion of Joan of Arc, First Knight plus the other ones people have already mentioned.
There is another one which is old and features Cromwell and some Puritans that ends up more like a horror movie and he ends up get beated with an axe. I only saw it but can't remember the name????? |

| | You all rock. I can't wait to rent some of these. Ladyhawke has a killer cast, I'm excited!
Army of Darkness.... oh, no. My first boyfriend was obsessed with the Evil Dead series and it always reminds me of him, and of his dad walking in on us while I was giving him a handjob and we were watching it. |
