| | | Chuck and Larry. i am not the biggest adam sandler fan. i liked 50 first dates, Spanglish, and Punch Drunk Love. that is about it. But, i loved this movie. i laughed so much. and it wasn't forced laughter like Happy Gilmore and Billy Madison and all of the rest of his crap. very funny. go see it. |

| | | I think both Adam Sandler and the guy from King of Queens are funny but I thought this movie was gonna suck. I haven't seen it to be sure but I thought so. I still kinda think so. I might be wrong? |

| | | I haven't seen this one yet, but the only Sandler movie that I really absolutely hated was Click.
And I really liked Spanglish - I think that one was underrated. |

| | | This movie is shit. Total shit. Gay. Gay. Gay. Gays are funny?
I hardly ever care about that shit...but I am annoyed with this. Adam sandler is great and most of his movies are great...but this is annoying and offencive. |

I don't know, I remember being really relieved that the damned thing was over and thinking that I just wasted 90 minutes. (I watched it with 3 other people and they all felt the same way). |

and if you don't think it is funny, okay. but, offensive?? it is pro gay marriage and pro tolerance. did you not get that watching the movie. you must be one of those GLAAD fags right? bitter and oppressed about everything.
and honestly, gays are funny. i am pretty funny. i do stupid shit all the time. and make fun of myself and laugh. i guess i am not too bitter about the cards i have been dealt in life. |

| | | i don't get the premise of this at all..why do people have to pretend to be gay in hollywood movies?..aren't there actual gay people who want to be gay in the world? is that too shocking for mainstream family comedies? doesn't bring in as many ticket sales? |

| | | they aren't playing gay characters.
they are both firefighters and best friends. one has two kids and his wife has died. him and Sandler almost get killed. he goes to check on his insurance benefits for his kids. there is some problem and he has to have a spouse to be the beneficiary. he sees an article where his insurance company accepts domestic partnerships. so, since the Sandler is his best friend, he knows he can trust him to take care of his kids. it is supposed to be easy. just on paper. but, they get investigated. so, they have to pretend to be gay. and his young son is gay too. so, in the process of it all. they become a role model for another person to come out of the closet. they suffer discrimination. they teach their whole unit tolerance, and a dad accepts his gay son. it is pretty endearing. i don't see how any of this is offensive.
and there are many gay themed movies with gay actors in them which could be considered offensive. Another Gay Movie. which is fucking hilarious. and has a 98% gay cast. and makes fun of gay people. but, still is fucking hilarious. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
