I was with some friends the other day and the subject of soaps came up, and we were talking about the glory that was known as "Santa Barbara". Who can forget the wobbly scenery, the wooden acting, the high school students who looked about 25, or the classic earthquake scene where talcum powder was used to simulate the crumbling of the buildings? Or how could we forget "Dominic", the woman who spent the entire run of the show wearing a beard, attempting to pass herself off as a man, I mean, WTF was THAT all about?
"The Bold And The Beautiful" was worthy, but in my opinion, in terms of awfulness and high camp, "Santa Barbara" wins hands down and deserves an appreciation thread.

Let me think about this, because there was another actress who replaced Robin and took over the role of "Kelly Capwell-Perkins-Conrad". I do remember in the beginning, Kelly was a suspect in the murder of Channing Capwell Jr., but to be 100% honest, I missed about 6 months of the show and am out of the loop on this!

Oh yeah that's it. She pushed him out of the window after he tried to rape her.
I'm a bit embarrassed i know this much but I used to watch this with my mom when I was 10 and that scene always stuck with me. That and Adolf Martinez...what a lovely name.
I used to watch this show when I was a kid (from the very beginning, but I didn't watch the last couple of years before cancellation).
My favourite character was Gina anyone remember that cool punk haircut she got at one point...I wish I could find a pic of that, but this will have to do:
