| Cape Wrath -new uk drama series Did anyone catch it on Tuesday? I was pleasantly suprised. I know have something to look forward to watch during the week! For those of you who haven't seen it or know what it's about , heres a summary. Starring David Morrissey (The Deal, State of Play, Blackpool) and Lucy Cohu (The Queen’s Sister), new drama Cape Wrath hides a rich seam of secrets beneath its pleasant and welcoming exterior.
When Danny (Morrissey) and Evelyn Brogan (Cohu) and their family move to Meadowlands, they appear to have landed on their feet in a 21st Century suburban paradise. Disease, drug and crime-free, Meadowlands appears to be a town where all is safe, bubble-wrapped against the slings and arrows of urban life.
On the run from their past, the Brogans are here to create a new life as part of a protective custody programme.
But the more the family begin to find out about their surroundings, the less they understand and the greater their paranoia becomes…what is really going on here?
Psychologically gripping, the series explores the nature of identity and memory – asking if anyone can ever really wipe the slate clean?
Cape Wrath will be produced by Ecosse Films (Monarch of the Glen, Becoming Jane).
