dogme 95

I'm just watching 'elsker dig for evigt' dogme #28, a friend leant it too me after i leant him a bout de souffle.

the only other film i've seen from this genre (if that's what it is) is lars von triers 'idioteme' (the idiots or dogme #2)

can anyone recommend me any more?

also i heard that zack brarf is remaking this film, is that true?

I was just thinking of Harmony Korine the other day.

Sorry, no reccomendations, though.

Here is their film list:
Dogme95 - Dogmefilms

The only one I've seen, aside from Idioterne is Julien Donkey-Boy.

dogme #1 is amazing (the celebration/festen). also dogville (even though i had no idea that was a dogme95 movie, it doesnt follow all the dogme rules. rule 1, 3 (i think, its been ages since ive seen it and ive lent out my copy), 6 and 8 arent followed.

imdb says he has put the project on hold (its called open hearts), so who knows if itll end up being made?

If we're allowed to include films that don't follow all the rules (like how Dogville isn't shot on location), then my favourite is definitely Breaking The Waves.

I'm currently watching Dogme #37, Gypo (2005). It's pretty amazing, and fucking bleak.

it's putting me in the mood for a Lars von Trier fest though.

Absolutely. It's in my all-time top 10. Mifune is another good movie, it's got a lot of heart. I love Dogme, but haven't seen many since the late 90s.

It's brilliant. Fucking Amal/Show Me Love is dogme-esque, and also an all-time favourite.

Aaah Lukas Moodysson is wonderful. That's the only one of his that's anything like Dogme-standard to my recollection. I can't remember if there was music?

I think there was only "natural" music... songs people were actually listening to.
