Yes. I rented this the other day.
I enjoyed it and overall thought it was pretty good, but there was just something about it that I wasn't sure about.
I loved Shia Labouef (<sp) and the other dude with Kutcher.
Demi and Sharon Stone were good too.
Actually, I liked it lots. It is pretty slow and I nearly switched off after 20mins. Maybe that's what was wrong?!

For me, it was the lightheartedness of the film that tripped me out. I think I expected it to be really serious or something? I don't know...I didn't even dislike it...it was just trippy...the event itself was such a dark, sad thing in history and it was like Aaron Spelling made the movie or something!
until it's free on tvlinks.co.uk or on torrent.. i wont watch it.
i heard it was really shitty. plus lohan is SUCH a character in real life, i can't believe her in an acting role. i just think "why is lindsay lohan in this movie..." forgetting she's being paid to ACT like someone else.

...and I was praying all along that SOMEONE, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, shoot Helen Hunt!!
Why? Was she that annoying?

Why do all RFK movies focus on his death instead of his life? That annoys me and for that reason I won't watch it. Plus, I too think "why the fuck is Lindsay Lohan in this?!"
I actually really want to see this.
I wanted to rent it when it came out then I found out it was a Blockbuster only rental. The closest blockbuster to me is like 205 minutes away, so I don't know that I'll see it anytime soon.
So for someone who hasn't seen it I guess we shouldn't bother?
why not? see it and judge for yourself? Did you watch the clip I posted? Stone, Moore, Cannon, Belefonte, Macy and about half the cast are excellent. The only problem is the other half (lohan, Kutcher, etc) are terrible.

Not true at all! I read all of the reviews that had one star, and I disagree with that, the movie was better than one star, and like I said, it tripped me out more than it was a bad movie...see it for yourself and make up your own mind!

I don't think it focused on his death that much, obviously it was part of the movie, but I don't think the death was the main event of the movie at all. Rather, I would say it was his life that was the movie's focus, and his life does include a tragic death. The thing I liked about the film is that it showed so much actual footage of him while he was campaigning, and people's reaction to him and his politics. His politics and the way he went out and talked to people was a completely new thing for his time, and honestly its something we still don't see today, and the movie showed that. Let's face it, his story doesn't get told that much in classrooms, aside from his work with his brother, it was nice to see the actual footage, to really see who he was; and using his actual speech during the end of the movie was great.
well, as promised i'm watching it for free on filmhill and, suprise! i like it, alot.
i left to go get lunch, and the whole time i was gone i wondered about the movie. i'm only like a half hour in, but it's a thumbs up. i think. but i agree about the made-for-tv-movie vibe.

I agree I liked the movie as well. Checked it out twice from the library. The second time I finally got to sit down and watch it. I thought Sharon and Demi were good too. It did focus more on what Bobby was actually about and what he did. Gives folks hopefully a better picture of him than what they've seen or heard before.
