oh, and there was this one french movie where a girl became OBSESSED with her skin, like cutting it and stabbing it. there was this one brutal scene where she's cutting up her leg and starts to eat the skin. im not easily grossed out by gore but that part...ugh, i couldnt even look.
recently, Alpha Dog. The ending of that movie just gutted my emotions. I was shaken for days after seeing it. Same goes for scene in Jarhead when they watch The Deer Hunter and it turns out to be one of the soldier's wives screwing his neighbor. Soooo fucked up.
Requiem for a Dream, not the feel good hit of the summer.
Romper Stomper
Kissed
Poltergiest. Scared the ever loving crap out of me when I saw it as a kid. I would leap of the bed in fear that something would grab me from underneath.
So, I'm not really one to get disturbed easily, but last night I was watching this movie called Kissed, and was so weirded out I had to turn it off.
It started off with the protagonist as a little girl, and whenever she'd find a dead animal or her cat would kill something she put it in a box. She'd then sneak out of her house in the night while chanting to bring the animal to this grave yard type set up she had. After spinning around in circles and stripping off her clothes, she'd rub the dead animal all over herself and then bury it.
She was kind of a loner (I'm wondering why? hhahaha) but she finally made a friend. Her friend and her would chant with the dead animals and then bury them, but at night the protagonist would come back and rub the dead animals all over herself and then give them a proper burial. Her friend just wasn't as into it as she was. Then one day she decides that she wants her friend to join in, so she bring music to encourage the dancing. The friend dances and stripes off her clothes, no big deal. Then the friend sees her rubbing the dead animal all over her face and there's blood all over her. "Oh, I guess I must have squeezed it too hard." she says. But noooo, she's gotten her fucking period and got blood all over the animal from rubbing it on her nasty crotch. Her friend then runs away (understandably) and gets her mother to call the protagonists mother to say that she was being forced to do witch craft or some shit.
The protagonist is now older, and works in a funeral home. She likes it there, lots of dead bodies and what not, then she meets this guy. She tells the guy that she "makes love" to the dead bodies, but it seems to make him more interested. They go on a date and end up back at his place. She tells him she's never had sex with a living person before and he's all like, just lay there. So, they do it and he falls asleep. While he's sleeping she runs off to the funeral home where she has sex with a dead body. I guess the living guy just didn't cut it for her.
Anyways, I turned it off there. I wish I could have finished watching it cause I'm a pretty open minded person, you know? But, it was fucked right the hell up.
Tell me about a movie that's really disturbed you.
My imagination is so stupidly vivid that I get nightmares from most horror films, but for some reason all my scary thoughts ever seemed to fix themselves into sadako from the ring, and I'd have nightmares about her a lot. Her crawling across my room up towards my bed, sitting in the wardrobe or under my desk...I think it was the crawling motion. And then the Omen, the bit where the woman hangs herself near the start and smashes into the window. I keep thinking that someone will do that from above (even though there isn't an 'above' storey in my hall) and smash into my window.
.
that kind of ghost story spooky stuff and posession etc. gets me too
one time I was high (mary jane) and I halucinated that the girls from the exorcist, the grudge, the ring and a tale of two sisters were all in my bedroom. I called my boyfriend nad made him stay on the phone with me til they went away.....he was making fun of me ... grrr... and then one of the scary chicks morphed into a vicious wolf that just hovered in my door way.....
Trainspotting. The dead baby part. I've lost a child before, you see...
That scared the flaming shit out of me when I first saw it but I was a youngun so...
And I want to add that part in the unrated Land of the Dead where the guy it ripped apart while still alive, I saw that in a theatre and it was nasty as HELL. IT was like Shawn of the Dead but much worse.
And I'll mention Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Insanity.

I absolutely love when Sick Boy is just hovering over the crib and Spud, Swanny and Renton are standing around idly int he background , not daring to get any closer...and then mark renton's voice over comes "At least now we knew who the father was...it wasn't just the baby that died that day. something inside sick boy sick boy was lost and never returned. it seemed he had no theory with which to explain a moment like this"
shit that is my absolute favourite film.
OH! i thought of a really disturbing film:
The Acid House...based on the irvine welsh novel....It was just creepy and bizarre and gross. but I really enjoyed it.
and mulholland drive. after I saw that I was up for three hours convincing myself that the laws of physics still applied and I wasn't going to like dissolve or change into someone else or fade into another reality or wake up somewhere else......and it didn't work. I skipped my two first classes of schoool the next day so I could stay home and think about it and calm my nerves down.
the last scene of it ...holy shit. holy freaking gosh.

i watched that movie tripping on mescaline. it was hella fun. so i dont know if the movie was really as insane as i thought it was or if i was just tripping REALLY hard.
There was another movie, its a bit old, it has this thing where all these people have a problem, and its that they all get really horny at the sight of car crashes, fatal injuries? the better.....NO idea what its called, but highly weird, its like of those cult movies.
