| | | Alexander Revisited - The Final Cut The Final Insult, that's how they should call it. I remember seeing Alexander and being completely blown(I also loved Catwoman when it came out, it's crazy) away with it and I had bitter discussions with this genius friend of mine who said the movie was shit and I said it wasn't that it was great, and an incredibly positive role model for gays and stuff, and one year later I buy the director's cut and saw it and only then, like a year later and after seeing it many times(I don't know why, I so don't get things at the first go) I realized the movie was total shit.
It really is one of the worst movies ever made. Too bad it took me years to realize it.
Anyway, Oliver Stone is releasing this dvd who has like 45 more minutes into the movie, and this is like the final version.
Apparently the time issue was responsible for the two previous cuts to be a complete mess and that is just a lame excuse. This is ridiculous. To quote one of the reviewers: why it took three separate efforts to shape Alexander into its best possible presentation?
Exactly. If the movie is good it doesn't need three cuts to make it good. How lame. |

| | His hair in the movie! That weird, wig-like, bleached surfer something on his head. I laughed so hard when I saw that in the previews.
That's why I never went to watch the movie. |

| | | It was really shit to start with. But quite funny. Should be even funnier with extra crap in it, but it will also be even harder to stay awake.

They spend so much time developing this love/sexual tension between jared and colin that never comes to materialize.
And no, there are no sex scenes. |

| | | I made the mistake of going to see it in the cinema. Three hours of my life wasted. At no point did Farrell make me believe he'd be able to inspire legions of men to follow him halfway across the known world. I lost count of the amount of times he started to cry. The last scene with Hephaistion was fucking hilarious, though. Alexander looking off into the sunset while poor poisoned Hephaistion seizes and croaks it in the background.

That's what I mean, there was all this sexual tension, and the romantic music in their scenes, and it just falls short.
Ugghh and the extensions. |

No, you won't see me walking down that open road,
I've found at last the man who knows me.
Yes, he knows me and the man is me, and the man is me, the man is me.
