| | | spider-man 3 [may contain spoilers] what
the
fuck?
what a freaking lame way to end the trilogy.
it was just horrible, right up there with t3 and x-men 3...
the only redeeming thing about it was the awesome effects, but even that couldnt save the wooden acting, the cliché story line and the fact that the years have been REALLY bad to toby (y halo ther double chin and eye bags). |

| | | The boy wanted to go to the movies & see this last night but i just wasn't convinced.
I didn't even think the first two were particularly good. But i heard the third one was shiteous too.
So what do you reckon? Wait 'til its released on dvd or don't even bother?
As for x-men. They ruined it with that last one!! |

it was really disappointing. too many bad guys, too rushed and really messy. its only 2+ hours, but it felt like they easily could have cut 90 minutes out, it just goes on and on and on and on and on. |

| | | ...this one was a lot cheesier than i expected. in some ways, that made it more entertaining for me, particularly since i didn't like the first two that much. but it was almost jarring.
if you liked the first two, wait to see it on DVD. if you didn't, don't even bother. there wasn't really anything that worthwhile and there's far better movies to spend your money on out there.
slightly unrelated, but i actually kinda liked x-men 3, it just wasn't anywhere near as good as the first two. but that's what you get when you switch directors and screenwriters (come back, David Hayter!) |

But I concur with the thread starter...either Raimi is deliberately attempting to single-handedly bring down the entire superhero franchise (in the same manner Joel Schumacher unintentionally did with Batman exactly 10 years ago) or he's gone completely insane. Shit storyline, shit performances, shit special effects...yep, shit movie in a nutshell, pretty much. Thank fuck I didn't have to pay for my ticket. |

| | | I personally loved it. I thought it was a great ending, something that didn't happen with X-Men(thank you Brett Ratner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!you better stay at home doing lines with La Love instead of doing movies!)
I thought everything was done to perfection. I loved Venom, and what a weasel he was.
For the first time in the trilogy I loved Peter Parker. He was such a moron in the othet two, and I just loved him in this one. He was just so tender, and kind and just good, it was just adorable to watch. Like I finally understood what Spiderman really is all about.
I could realte too, I'm a photographer like Peter always dealing with scumbags like Venom. It's awful.
I loved Mary Jane too and usually hate her, and the clothes were fab. I loved how they made her fail in her acting career, I could relate too because I'mm afraid my photographer career is ruined, but it was so sweet how even at the end she had Peter you know?? I wish I could at least have someone to help me bear how low I've stooped in life.
And Kiki looked gorgeous.
Some special effects were kinda lame and I Harry part at the end was a bit cheesy but overall I was satisfied and I think it was not a sour note for the trilogy like XmEN the last stand.
And yes, I LOVE how everyone acknowledges how Schumacher ruined batman. |

I didn't hate the first two but I didn't love them either. This one actually entertained me and had me laughing, I found the the emo dancing spiderman hilarious but the acting was pretty bad. There were people in hysterics during the break up scene. Anyone else find Harry suddenly forgiving Peter a bit much?

He was the best thing about the fillm until he went goodie at the end.
Sandman didn't really need to be in it and they should have developed Venom (Topher Grace) and Gwen Stacey's characters a bit more.

Kirsten Dunst looked too skinny and pale | Definitely. I think they concentrated on Sandman so much because it was a chance to have really "epic" battles but I thought it fell flat. Venom would have been far more interesting and should have had a larger part in the story.

| | | I liked the film but I don't know why they have to include so many villains. It worked on X-Men United(the best super hero script EVER) but in other films it's kinda shaky.
I think the movie should've been either with Sandman only or Venom only. I think they take away from each other.
I mean it's like Catwoman being trampled by the disgusting Penguin on Batman Returns. And why focus mainly on the Penguin and leave Catwoman for a secondary role?? becuase of fucking male macho inferiority complex, that's why. Offtopic I know, but it came to mind and I had to say it. |

I think that screenwriters believe that the more they get into the movie the more they will wow audiences when the opposite is true. Less is more. |

| | | Putting blonde streaks in Topher Grace's hair does not disguise the fact that he and Toby Maguire are actually the same person.
