Just saw it, loved it, loved everything about it.

What's your take on the movie from every and any standpoint?: Politcally, theatrically, morally? Did you hate it, love it?

I hated it.

i lovvve slc punk. i like the part at the end (i'll try to not give away anything for those who haven't seen it) when that chick played by summer phoenix (i think) is talking to the main guy (matthew lillard) about what rebellion really is.

and devon sawa is so great in it . i don't think it should be taken very seriously as a political statement... it's just a fun movie to watch.

Yes, the second she said "Rebellion is in the mind" I decided I was in love with this movie.

i also just seen it on HBO. its alright, not great or anything

a lot of people give it a lot more credit than its worth. i like the movie though. its fun. and my boyfriend will randomly do (really great) impressions of the german guy from that scene where hes showing off all of his stuff.

i love it. kind of dragged on. the end left me fucking shocked and in tears though.

i only saw it once a few years ago but it had quite an impact on me. i really loved it. i should probably see it again.

Pretty ho-hum. I like Matthew Lillard. I loved the "punk" party where they're listening to Spandau Ballet. That was pretty cool.

It's fun. I don't know that it's a great movie, but it's a lot of fun. I like the fight diagram, and the way it's always clear that the main character loves his parents even when he's screaming at them.

My parents lived in SLC for a few years in the mid-sixties. This was still my Dad's binge-drinking days. (Chain-smoking too, he swears he didn't get asked back to the high school he taught at because during breaks he was always sneaking a smoke outside. Again, this was the mid-sixties, having to do this was unheard of anywhere else. Back in Long Island, he could all but smoke while teaching a class). I mentioned the movie to him, and the road trip for the real beer. Dad still remembered the name of the Wyoming town.

Yeah, that makes me shake my head also. Many people at that age don't even understand the underlying concept of the movie. Ironically it is against the preception of these people in general.

But if it introduces them to Spandau Ballet, only good can come of it.

It's not a favorite, but I enjoyed it.
