| | | It's one of my fav books, but I haven't seen the film.
I've had some bad experiences with A Clockwork Orange, so I'm a bit reserved ever since. |

| | | From the accounts I've heard it is true to the book (on the other hand, I'm sure it will be different than my vision...)
It looks beautiful.

| | I haven't seen the film yet, but I've been obsessed with Ben Whishaw ever since reading some articles about him playing Hamlet a few years ago. He's so dreamy is it out on DVD yet? This isn't a very intellectual post to add to this thread and I just made it even lower in tone by illustrating it twice. |

| | | If it hasn't been played, then it probably has skipped cinema in your place. You'll find it on dvd, which is already available. |

| | | a long time ago gelflinggirl sent me the book, perfume. and for some dumb reason i had trouble reading it. couldnt get into it. my fucking MUM read the book and loved it. i saw the movie tonight, in gelflinggirl's honour.
i generally have alot of problems with movies that are 2+ hrs. but, this was good. my favourite character was of course, dustin hoffman's role. when is he NOT the best?
i wonder if gelflinggirl saw the movie and if so, what she thought of it.
i couldnt really get past the noseman's motivation. i mean. he trecked so far in the shittiest shoes w/out a horse or any kind of vehicle. totally admirable.
did you guys feel really u ncomfortable how everyone was almost always dirty?

I actually really liked that because it would have been really dumb for them to be clean, like in every other Hollywood film. |

No, in the book he was grotesque, I agree they should have not made him sexy. |

I think all mainstream movies have to have some sex appeal, no matter if ruins the artistic side of the movie. I wish there was more independent films. Good ones. |
