This is called a "Snuff Film"
This is a scene from a movie called Guinea Pig.
This is probably the most disgusting thing you'll ever see, but don't worry, none of it is real.
Snuff film contriversay has gone on for years, but all rumors are false. |

I've seen it only twice, maybe because I'm concerned that any more viewings than that and it might really start to warp my mind. The live animal killings are the least of it.

Thanks! | From personal experience, I can only comment on these two. Ichi the Killer is one of my favorite movies, highly recommended. Gory, but gloriously overdone. Give it some time, at first it's somewhat confusing but you'll get the hang of it. Great soundtrack too, nice acting, visually fascinating.
As for Cannibal Holocaust, I liked this one as well. Better than I expected, actually. I don't remember anything too cringe-worthy, but it has some brutal scenes that kind of make you think about humanity. It's been a while since I've seen it, so my memory's a bit fuzzy.
I've wanted to see Irreversable (I like Monica Belucci as an actress, and from what I've read of the plot synopsis piqued my interest) and Men Behind the Sun. |

Thanks! | I own Salo, Ichi the Killer, and Cannibal Holocaust.
Salo is both the most beautiful and grotesque film you'll ever see. Regular horror doesn't bother, but Salo does. It portrays humanity at its worst. Be careful with what copy you get of it; I downloaded the French dvd release and it is the most complete copy available with the best transfer.
Ichi is intensely violent and darkly humorous, and I recommend it.
Cannibal Holocaust is Ruggero Deodato's only good film, obviously, this film was a fluke for him (besides being a world class douche). I own the copy released by the company Grindhouse, which was released in extremely limited numbers with plenty of bonus material. Very much worth for the interviews with the actors, who all had no idea what they were in for during filming and all despised Ruggero. I prefer watching the version with the animal killings cut out.
August Underground is shit, it's wannabe '70s grindhouse and it fails. Tom Savini talked about this, as the director attended his make-up effects school and even taught there for a while; but he was fired as he's just fucked up and a good deal of his work was rather violent towards women.
And if Tom Savini fires you for being too violent and fucked up, then there's a problem.
Oh, and in case you come across it - avoid the film Snuff. It was poorly cobbled together out of two films: the first half being a Manson-esque exploitation that was never finished and shelved, the second half being a crappy ending filmed a few years later with different actors and tacked on by the filmmakers that found the previous forgotten film and released it to make a quick buck. |

I still think there are genuine articles out there in private stashes never to be viwed by the general public or black market. I mean, unless you want to get arrested?! Its not impossible for humans to record that kind of thing, seeing that we got to see Saddam being hanged and various beheadings on the net. |

That was alot of help! I was looking through imdb and the movie with most mixed messages on how good it was, was August Underground, but I'll take your word for it, and lean towards the negetive comments. I might just start with Salo. | |
