Wow. What an amazing film.
For a film with such a racist and disturbing storyline it managed to have some pretty funny scenes. Smell especially!

The scene where Milky was talking about his family almost made me cry. And the ending.

A film, about 'skinheads'. I thought it would be different and without the damn nazi stuff, but it's pretty much the same as any:(total spoiler): guy gets to know some skins, then gets talked in to nazi stuff(though 'not nazi') and doesn't realise it's bad. Then a guy dies and he realises it.

i thought it was really good, a lot of the characters seemed a bit redundant though? and smell was a bit creepy really.

how disturbing was it watching smell kiss that wee boy? utter gross

so its no different from the cliches we've been used to ? i mean i was *hoping* that this moive would've put a bit of truth on the skinheads movement... i still havent seen it, i was looking forward to it... but from what im reading i probably shouldnt?

What exactly is the truth of the skinhead movement?

what i meant is: im soooooooo tired of people telling me im a nazi only because i hang out with the skinheads. there should be some movie to tell people that the skinheads are not only the racist scum thats always portrayed on movies, magazines and stuff. one of the few things i've ever read regarding the original skinheads its rule of night by trevor hoyle, a wonderful book that is worth reading.

i mean, its not that naziskinheads do not exist, but there are more things to say about the entire movement and it bugs me that the only thing thats always shown is the racist aspect of it.

Would the non-violent, non-racist aspect of it make a good film?

for example, i loved american history x. its a great movie, but thanks to it, now everyone thinks hes an expert on the skinheads.

probably a movie about the non racist aspect of the skinhead movement (ive never said non violent) would suck more than romper stomper () but it would tell the other side of the story...

That's ok, I'm just curious. All the skinheads I've come into contact with have been of the somewhat demented, racist, violent type and I'm interested to know the other side of the story.

i might agree on the demented and violent part (seems somewhat that beign a skinhead in most of the cases includes both) - but there are many ''groups'' (if i can call em like that, or maybe 'types' would be better) of skinheads that are antiracist - take the SHARPs, the redskins in general... i dont know where you live, but such groups of antinazist, antiracist skins are more active in places like spain, italy, germany (also) - countries that have been through a fascist domination (im so sorry for the way im expressing things) and so have a stronger sense of anti.fascism
