This is complete horseshit. Firstly, Halloween is a classic, I know people throw that word around but this one is a definitive classic. It still airs on TV, and not even just during Halloween. The franchise put a sequel out in 2002, so I'd call it a pretty active franchise, unlike Dawn Of The Dead, Amityville, and Texas Chainsaw which were long dead.

My main beef is Zombie, I liked House of 1,000 Corpses, and I hated Devils Rejects. I just don't want to see his nitwit wife running around in Jamie Lee Curtis's role and I don't want to see any of his freakshow characters in a Halloween movie. I don't want a Halloween film that's going to have Ramones and Skynard songs in it.

I'm a big fan of the series. The original, part 4, and H20 are some of my favorites. and the other parts have this nice quality to them that I can watch them every now and then.

I just hated the last one they did Halloween Resurrection. It totally ruined H20, which would have beena great ending. I think had they not made Resurrection I wouldn't care if they did a remake. I just don't like that that one is now going to be the last of the original series. Yuck.

Jamie Lee Curtis must be rolling over in her grave.

I don't really care, considering Halloween sucks and Rob Zombie makes good movies. They cancel out in my books.

I'm one of the few people who thinks that Halloween is the stupidest, lamest horror film ever. Well, not ever, just out of the popular ones.

I'd like to see a remake, just for shits and giggles.

hes said before he isnt going to put her in every movie he does. and she isnt academy award acting material but you also need to realize shes only been in what? 5 movies? shes very green as an actress and needs some time. she also needs to work with other directors.

also rob has said hes done with the DR characters so calm down on that....

i think he'll do very well with this. he has a deep appreciation for the genre. Holloween was actually not that great though. its overrated.

I'm actually very intrigued by this.

Off to imdb.com to see all the inevitable freakouts on the Halloween board; those fans are frightening and have even stated that if the film were to be remade, they'd go to extreme lengths to stop production.

It's going to be very interesting to see how this unfolds.

I think it's sad people don't see the greatness of Halloween. It's been dampered by imitation and sequels. It invented a formula, that until it was beaten to death was actually good and scary. At the time it was the most sucessful independent film of all time. It only cost like 22,000 and made like 80 mil.

Rob Zombie himself said he doesn't like remakes. He said the only movies that should be remade are ones that have poor execution.

Some Halloween trivia for you all though. Dana Carvey had a brief appearance in Halloween 2 in 1981. He would become famous in Wayne's World starring Mike Myers. The name of the killer in Halloween is Michael Myers. Now that's weird.
