EVEN if burroughs is like james frey and made it all up and marketed it as a memoir (im not holding that against anyone ever anyway) the film was still a bad adaptation of the book in its present form

it was like the film failed to have any of the essential endearing parts of the book

i mean, natalie was "fat" in the book and i was really hoping to see her wandering around town in a mcdonald's uniform except the film just skanked her up in platform shoes and big doe eyes

the film totally decided to make this agnes/augusten relationship into something way more meaningful than was prevalent (in my opinion) in the book

and urgh neil bookman was all wrong
