Nonetheless, I agree with an article I read on Salon.com about her last year. There is existing "proof" (lol) that she had a brain, B-T (before Tom). She spoke intelligently and thoughtfully to interviewers. On the rare occasions you've heard her speak A-T (after Tom), it is quite shocking how brainwashed and dull she sounds. A-T, and being introduced to $cientology, her publicist was fired, and what-ever friends she had stopped hearing from her. When she was told that old friends were worried about her, Katie told one interviewer, "They aren't my friends". That is CLASSIC Patty Hearst - as if anyone concerned about your strange new life isn't a "friend".
Then again, I might be being too dramatic. I do know girls ~ and guys, come to think of it ~ who dump their friends COMPLETELY as soon as they meet Mr/Miss Right. It's fucking annoying and very baffling to be one of the dumped "friends". But Tom Cruise is scary, and so is $cientology, so I still don't know what to think about her. ($cientologists once took my very rich, VERY senile great aunt for several weeks to some fucking youth hostel three thousand miles from her home, without telling a single relative. It was criminal.)  |

i saw a new picture of them today (ohnotheydidnt how i love you), and if she hadnt been with cruise i would never in a million year have thought it was joey potter. she looked so different (mainly the nose and eyes). |

| | I saw some video footage of them at the MI3 Premiere somewhere, and she looks good. She looks like someone whos just had a baby for fuck sake. Only disturbing thing was how Tom kept dragging her around everywhere. Really creepy. I swear she looked like she was gonna fall over at one point.
