i was disapointed i did like it but i could of waited till it came out on video and saved 8 quid. the trailer makes it look a lot better than it is, makes it look really tense etc but the movie really lacks tension which let it down, i was never on the edge of my seat. good head fucker film though. oh and don't worry you don't need a strong stomach.

we rented this movie on the weekend.

i loved most of it, but my crotch hurt for most of the time.
and my husband had a "i'm in pain" face most of the time as well.

I saw this in the cinema when it came out ..... I thought it was a bit to long and drawn out, but it was a good movie, worth a watch via rental.

i saw this a few weeks ago and loved it. story-wise, it may not have been the most well-written ever, but it was better than 90% of the usual crap in theaters, and i guess unlike others, i felt that most of the film was QUITE tense. i enjoyed the lack of a "good guy" and the combination of sympathy and repulsion i felt for both characters.

what i enjoyed more was the cinematography. it's pretty to look at, and the director's use of color (and how it related to what was going on) really stood out.

the acting was top notch.

the movie was strange..initially i felt sorry for the girl and in the end she just turned out to be a schizo fuck!! the extremes she went 2 kinda made me feel compelled to wish he had of killed her!!!i also i found her acting and dialouge to be well below average...

in the end he killed himself, and no one innocent would, so he obviously was guilty of the death of Donna, along with that other man.

yeha, the story was pretty basic, your by the numbers, midlevel thriller but ellen page really made the movie pop. she's very talented and her delivery is never dry, she maintains an intensity. must have been very hard to do. she's brilliant and deserves a nomination for anything for this. i love the blonde redhead song at the end.

perhaps it's my line of work, but i really liked the film. with the number of internet predators in the news today, i thought it was an adept look at the psyche of a predator. not the most pluasible plot, but still enjoyable.

well, he killed himself also because he'd been reduced to shreds of his mere humanity by the girl. also, he was threatened with the suspect pictures of underaged girls being sent out to the cops and his exgirlfriend.

rumors on the internets suggest that he didn't kill himself - that the rope was too long and this is why she pokes her head over the top and said, "or not" or whatever. it's open to interpretation.

she said "or not" to what she promised ["i promise i'll take care of it when you jump"] and not to mention that she was smiling whilst she said so.

and besides he practically admitted it saying he 'only' wanted to take photos' and the girl knew that, becuase she'd already done the same to his partner in action, that Aaron dude.

but, whatever you think. i dont force opinions.

but, i'm actually telling you theories on the film's ending that are rumored to be true. that there is an extended portion of the end where he realizes his rope was too long. just long enough to hold him there while his exgirlfriend and the cops showed up to find all the evidence strewn about.

i know the implied sentiment of why she said it as it appears in the movie. that's pretty cut and dry. but if you dig further and maybe look at certain clues in the movie, it is quite possible (probable?) she didn't kill him at all.

oh. and yes, she did kill him indirectly. it'd hold up in court that she was guilty of 1st degree murder should the details ever get back to authorities.

I rented this not too long ago. what a mindf**k of a movie!! The whole time I was waiting for the guy to turn on her. Towards the end, I was just wanting her to get killed! I guess thats what the movie set out to do. In that sense, it worked. I'm not sure if its worth repeat viewings. But the girl was kinda cute! Good actress too.

I fkn loved it.

me, my friends and everyone who worked at the cinema with me and saw it all thought the rope was too long. i thought that seemed very obvious.

i thought it was a bit of a silly twist, i'd have preferred it if he did die, but i'm 100% sure he doesn't.

Whether you find them attractive or not is besides the point.

A grown man should never bring a 14 year-old girl to his house and get her drunk with the intent to use her and then cut her loose.

Little girls fall hard for guys, they don't have any walls yet (usually), and that could devastate a young teenage girl enough to ruin the rest of her teens at the very least.

Not that guys her own age couldn't do that, too ... but it's very cruel for an older man, who is supposed to take care of those weaker than him, to take advantage of someone weaker than him.

It's despicable. The man was a coward and a loser. I was glad to see him get ruined, and I thought the acting in this movie was superb.
