Starring (and produced by) Edward "Lucky Escape" Norton and Naomi "Friends with Kidman, the Bitch Who Steals Corky's Film Roles" Watts.
It's set in China in the late 1920s, and it's beautifully shot, with muted humour and lots of very moving drama. A bacteriologist and his wife (who has never loved him) move to China where he can treat people with cholera, and take her away from Charlie - an aquaintance who she's been having an affair with...
It's out in the UK in April, but I wondered if it was out in the States yet?
I thought it was slow but wonderful. Probably Norton's least brilliant role ever, but he still did better than I can imagine anyone else could. The accent seemed a bit tricky for him, but he was just beautiful as the spurned husband...

I was invited to a "secret preview" so we didn't know what the film was until it came on... I knew it was a book adaptation, but nothing beyond that.
I dunno. I'll see anything Norton does.

| | Yeah, the preview made it look like a good movie, I'll probably see it soon, edward norton is almost never a letdown in the movies he is in, and the storyline seemed interesting. I'll post after I see it.  |

Looks-wise, I mean. The character was very much her own, I thought.
