it would be realyl hard for me to give it up, for a venture not guaranteed. risking my child's education wouldn;t be taken lightly. i would probably relent, because he seemed so enthusiastic and he's never been one to slack. hes smart and will work hard.
i went through something like this with my husband. i have supported him for a number of years to finish (two) classes and take pre reqs for pharm. it has taken him three years to do that, and one of those years he did nothing but programming, and each day it was extremely difficult to live with him "working" for no money while we were sinking in debt and risking our mortgage and me having to work overtime. he was trying to write a program that woulod make millions, but it ended up being a learning experience only.
so i empathize. but i still would have relented.
