It's really great, if you liek Harold and Maude i'm sure you'll love it, similar sort of humour and it's very unconventional.
Cat on a Hot Tin Roof is a great adaption of the Tennessee Williams play, it's about a rich ex-professional footballer played by Paul Newman who won't sleep with his wife played by Liz Taylor(yeah right!). As the story progresses you learn more about why he won't sleep with her, and his relationship with his Dad etc. and his old best friend. It's very dialogue based, its only set in a few rooms really. Excellent acting, brilliant characters and dialogue. More of a conventional film than Local Hero but a very good one at that, plus Liz Taylor is very attractive and it's quite fun just watching her, Paul Newman is there for the girls too. |

| | If you liked Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, you might also like A Streetcar Named Desire (another Williams play), or Who's Afraid Of Virginia Woolf, in which Elizabeth Taylor is superb. Quote: |

| | | It is such a powerhouse film in terms of tension and acting I think.
I must say I don't rate Vivian Leigh that well. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
