| | | girl, interupted question.... So I watched the movie again last night, and there is just something I still wonder.
The girl who Britnany Murphy played, whose dad fucked her and she got her own apartment in the end and always said "asshole". I don't understand what her disorder was. Like why did she just eat chicken and how she ate it by picking it? and then needing to poo? |

| | | Yeah, I've wondered the same thing. It must be a mix of schizophrenia and something else. |

| | If you only eat one type of food, it affects your bowel movements, constipation, etc. She was probably a schizophrenic or had tried to kill herself before or something. That character is so sad. |

| | | in the film she would only eat the chicken her dad brought her, and she collected them under her bed to show the nurse that she had eaten and took laxatives to poop it out. i think she had some sort of OCD, almost eating disorder as some sort of desperate attempt to gain control. |

| | | Daisy!!!
The song that plays when Susanne (is that the name?) finds her is so beautiful..Skeeter Davis "the end of the world".
I always just thought she had depression and obsessive compulsive (her thing about the chickens was ridiculous). |

| | | Yea!! Daisy is her name. Britnany Murphy did such an excellant job with that character. She really made her have her own fucked up world that you wanted to know more about.
I loved in that movie how EVERYONE smoked & we're smokers. |

| | | Has anyone read the book too? I am wondering how much diffrent it is from the actually film. I am consindering reading it eventally. The other person whose disorder they did not clear up with the "dyke girl" , the fat one. Not the one with torrets, but the one with bangs. They didn't seem to play on her much either.

If they'd actually stayed true to the book, the film would have been so dull. |

I read the book after seeing the movie because I loved it so much and honestly I was bored throughout the book. I didn't really like her style of writing and that probably had a lot to do with it. |

In the book Lisa is barely psychopathic at all. I mean, she goes and has kids years later, ffs. That was my main disappointment with the true story. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
