The amazing thing is that it survived Winona Ryder's shitty acting. That's a testament to its greatness.

She's terrible in every movie she makes, but even she couldn't fuck up Heathers.

For a few months last year I was watching it almost every single night. Not the entire thing, just skipping to my favorite parts.

I had seen that movie so many times before someone told me one of the jocks was on Little House on the Prairie as a child – I thought he just looked familiar because the whole thing reminded me of my high school.

One of my all time favorite movies for sure.
I still use phrases from that movie to this day. I am especially fond of "50 cent words".

He looks exactly the same as he did as a kid, only taller (or at least that's what he looked like in the late 80s).

i saw his name in the credits and put two & two together, first time around. laborteaux is such an unusual surname. of course he (patrick) and his brother (matthew) were both on little house...

love the movie. it remains the edgiest movie about high school ever. it's right up there for me with election.
and winona is so cute and cool.
i wish the ending was different though. i read somewhere the original ending had everyone in the school dying and then they meet at the prom, in heaven and the whole clique thing is still at play, only difference is they're all dead.

they never shot the original ending though. it is all explained on the special edition dvd from a few years ago.

Actually I think it was "say 'you like to suck big dicks'"
to which he says "you like to suck big dicks"

ohhh.

Walterboy was saying something vaguely about heathers respect and I did an internet version of smiling like I knew what was happening and moving on quickly.

As it happens I have that film. You need to watch Battle Royale Japanese high school kids killing the 'cool' kids - it's amazing what school children with social politics and saucepans/cross bows will do.
