| | | I remember everyone making a big stink about it and I finally saw it and I thought it wasn't anything special. I really haven't seen it in a long time though. |

| | | it is a great movie. i cant believe it is 9 years old.
the story itself is fun to watch, but there is so much subtext. the whole thing is about minorities and censorship. i think that's fairly obvious, but the way it plays out is genius. the story and the message behind the story meld perfectly and nothing feels forced. |

| | | There is an actual town called Pleasantville not far from where I grew up, so the title always freaks me out a little. My father used to joke that he would never move there, because he grew up in Amityville (amity means friendship & harmony, although yes, it is that town) and it would just all be too stupid and nicey-nice.

| | | This is one of those movies that I had to watch a couple times to really appreciate. I didn't care for it the first time I saw it, mainly because it wasn't really what I was expecting. Now if I'm flipping through the channels and it's on I definitely stop and watch it.
