Jessica Lange

I'm really into her right now. I've been watching a lot of her movies and have a few more lined up in my netflix queue.

Believe it or not the movie that sparked my interest in her was 1976's King Kong. She was just so gorgous in that and was really good, far better than that twit Watts.

Anyway, I've watched Sweet Dreams, Frances, and Blue Sky which are regarded as her best work. I also watched Postman Always Rings Twice, Normal, and Hush.

Normal was superb, she was so good in that, I can't believe she lost the golden globe to Streep in Angels in America. Frances was also amazing, even if the facts are a little questionable. Sweet Dreams was great, but Blue Sky I just didn't get, she did win an Oscar for it though.

I have Music Box, Country, and How To Beat The High Co$t Of Living on my queue, what else should I rent?

I LOVE Jessica Lange and a recent issue of Film Comment magazine had an article celebrating her film career.

And whether anyone cares or not, I love her in Kong '76. Funny how a part she went for on a lark would help set off such an amazing career.

Other films to recommend? Toostie for certain, as well as All That Jazz, Cape Fear, Everybody's All American, Rob Roy, Night and the City, Titus, Big Fish, and Broken Flowers. In a nutshell, everything she's ever done.

And for a great site on her (with a great online community I have yet to join), go here

You absolutely must see her in TITUS....i think I may have drooled. (of course jonathan rhys meyers was in it as well..he has some sort of crush on lange and didn't know what to do with himself when he got to be next to her nekkid).

Yeah I've seen Tootsie, Cape Fear and All that Jazz. I'll have to check out the others. How long is she in Broken Flowers?

Did you see her in Prozac Nation?

I've actually seen Prozac Nation, she was good in it, but the movie was not that great at all. I'm pretty hesitant to watch Big Fish since I hate Tim Burton films, with a passion actually.

I do too, actually. But there are a few Burton films I've been able to get through, and I enjoyed Big Fish (probably due to the fact that there was no Johnny Depp).

Her role in Broken Flowers is quite brief but it's worth it all the same; it's also one of Bill Murray's best performances.

shes great. i love her facial structure and how she uses it to her advantage while performing.

without her, Hush would've been another lifetime sold piece of crap.

And Christ on a crutch, I CANNOT stand Gwenyth Paltrow. She's just a big, boring loaf of white bread.

Lange was pretty disappointed with how the film turned out, as the script was much darker.

Hush was actually the first movie I saw her in back when it came out. I think I was like 12 when it came out and I saw it in theaters.

Well I dislike Depp more than Burton so maybe I can bring myself to watch Big Fish since he isn't in it.
