I thought it was pretty well done. I'm a bit biased though because I had been waiting for De Niro to do something like this again. The length and the pace and the attention to detail was unlike most contemporary major movies and more like movies made 20 or 30 years ago, and I feel like that is what De Niro does best in his acting and directing. I wouldn't recommend the movie to everyone, though; it would probably bore a lot of people out there. And it's definately not for people who are unfamiliar with those specific points in history.
All were good performances. Most notably Turturro, whom I LOVE in every movie he's been in ever.
I wanted more Pesci.
it surprised me to see how old pesci has gotten. hes an old fogie now!
i was really impressed. it sort of struck all of my daddy issues as well as it being an accurate smartie piece of work.
