| | | Blood Diamond Support this movie!
A bulletin from Myspace.com/Blood Diamond...
"Blood Diamond is one of those films that Hollywood makes once in awhile, and if it doesn't make enough money, the movie theaters pull the movie out of the theater. People always wonder why Hollywood makes bad movies, and it's simply because not enough people go to see the good ones - the ones that matter - the ones that really mean something.
Please go see Blood Diamond this weekend, I think you will be genuinely surprised how much you will like this film. Support this film so Hollywood has more incentive in the future to continue to make films that try to make a difference in the world.
Enjoy the movie, and the weekend." |

| | | I think Leo DiCaprio got a Golden Globe nomination for this one.
It looks good, and a lot of good actors are in it. |

| | | I'm not familiar enough with the accent to notice if there was anything awful about it. It didn't bother me though, and seemed to come off well. Good movie. |

| | | Seriosly.. There should be warnings signs on movies like that:
"Do not bring candy and do not excpect having a good time, this is not an entertaining film"
I cried for 2 hours. It was one of the most horrific movies I have ever seen. I wanted to leave the theatre because I couldn`t stand watching it.
However; I do think it is important that movies like this gets made.
Watching all shit on the news everyday makes you blind. But as a movie you pay attention to it a bit different.
I felt sick after watching it and as a mother I just thought "what if thoose kids were my babies"
All of us who lives in good countries need to be aware of things that happens to our fellow humans. I would never know what happend in Sierra Leone if I didn`t see this film. I mean, of course I know horrible things happend there and happens all the time everywhere. But in this case it was because the western countries demand of diamonds.
I just recomned evryone to see it. |

i know what you mean. it kinda disturbed me too, at a certain point i was like: when is this going to end? i couldnt stand anymore of it, i felt so sick. it rarely happens to me (still it does, i guess the last time i wanted to escape from a theater was with the pianist and the green mile )... but still, it was a good movie. certainly not a movie i'd watch again, but a good one. i liked leos and djimon performances, i cant comment on the accent since i saw it overdubbed in italian so.. |

Sure he slipped up now and again but I think he did a pretty good job overall. I thought he just had the...mannerisims and everything down quite well. Like when he said "doos", that made me laugh.
Anyways, I've heard it done ALOT worse than he did, I was quite impressed. |

its hard to get it perfect with any accent that is foreign to you. rachel griffiths did a good job on six feet under but there were a few times where her aussie seeped through. |

It was eye opening for me. |
