I much prefer to watch them with other people.

If I'm by myself just sitting in the dark for 2 hours watching a movie my mind starts to wander and it's just not fun.

people won't watch movies with me cuz i have a tendency to talk through them. only a select few still tolerate it, so most of the time i have no choice but to watch them by myself. but that's okay with me.

my friends are the same. im not allowed to say anything during the movie with one of them. how is that any fun? i think little comments or questions during it are fine. its not like the move is complete dialog the whole time.

I just find the idea of being shut up in a room alone just watching a screen for 2 or more hours depressing

Also watching a movie with someone and not saying a single word is sad too. that is kind of taking it too seriously dont ya think?

The time to talk is AFTER the movie is over. People around you might not care what you have to say.

it got to the point with my old roommate i would pause the movie and let him talk until he was done, then i would unpause.

he said it was rude, but hey, i like to get absorbed by the film.

I know what u mean. I always watch movies alone in my bed - just watched the Story Of Us twice the other day and cried all alone in my bed. Like balling. So depressing and sad.

i dont understand people who want to have conversations during movies.

lol my mum is the worse candidate for that...her usual line is "he/she looks familiar,what movie has he/she been in'' and she says that like 4 or 5 times during a film... I just think who gives a fuck what movie they have been in..just watch this one and shutup!

i love watching movies by myself. i dont see how thats depressing. i can get up to pee whenever i want. i dont have to consult with anyone else or try to convince them to see what i want to see.

unless you and the other people are 100% agreed that you want to see the same thing, i think by yourself is better. consensus is a big thing.

Why watch them by yourself when you can easily go over to your boyfriend's or friend's house if they want to see the movie too? that is my point. like wouldnt you rather watch them with someone if you love their company?

I dont carry on convos in movies. that is really unnecessary. but if i miss something, ill be like "what did he say" or "why did he do that? that was dumb" or "this is boring, lets turn it off"

it really depends on the kind of movie i'm watching. if it's action adventure or comedy, i kind of prefer being with someone or anyone, just to watch their reaction. i like seeing people react or laugh or be stupid.

but if it's some dramatic movie requiring my focus or something, i wanna be alone. there's nothing more annoying that someone asking what happened or an explanation.

being in a cinema alone is torturous though. people are so evil when they see someone alone, in a corner. theater bullies, what i call them.

i am one of those people, i'm afraid. i don't have conversations really, it's always talk about the movie.

like "why is she going in there, don't go in there! is she crazy?!" and if i've figured out the plot i'll be like "oh i know he's the bad guy look what happened just there, did you catch that?"

or if something in the movie reminds me of something else, i have to say it right then before i forget.

i don't know why i do it. i like watching movies, they don't bore me. i'm just a chatty chick i guess.

if a movie's really, really amazing though, it shuts me right up. i won't speak at all.

I go to rowdy theatres on purpose, simply because the commentary is often more amusing than the film.
