Animal Planet

i seriously think they gear this channel to women (especially the week before your period), children, the elderly, and the gays.

EVERY single program become something i NEED to watch.
today they're sedating a sick hamster, and saving emaciated puppies from a well.

Emergency Vets
Animal Cops

we all need to discuss animal planet. favourite programs, favorite moments.

I love this channel most. I've been watching Animal Cops, Animal Precient, and the other ones since like 2001. I went into the shelter they filmed the show from in Detroit. I love it.

Dr. Fitzgerald seems cool. I remember on one of the old episodes, he was doing stand-up comedy and dating that younger chick for a while.

I too have watched Animal Precinct, Animal Cops, etc. since 2001. It's sad, but it's reality... a lot of people out there need a wake up call as to how to care for their pets properly.

Did anyone ever see the Houston one where the horse had a HOLE in it's neck?! And it was like completely healed up? It was one of the most bizarre things I've ever seen.

Call this imA_Ne syndrome but I had a major crush on David Attenborough, epsecially watching some of the REALLY old ones he did in his 30s. He is the best at making ANY documentory ever and his passion for his work makes him swoon worthy.
That said, Animal cops Detroit is so depressing, especially when its winter and the dogs are left tied up in the yard when its snowing adn they have no shelter. Or in Miami when the have to put down the illegal pit bulls that they catch people with. I freakin blubber and I literally CRIED, tears rolling after watching a few episodes. I know some people are here with me on this but I get really upset when I see this shitty neglet happen to animals more than when I see it on the news with people.

I saw that... .it was amazing. It wasnt' a small hole, either

I love animal planet, I watch it all the time. I switch over to national geographic for Dog WHisperer tho. anyone watch that? I've got a huge crush on Cesar.. and I love that he speaks english perfectly, except he says "relAHHtionship" instead of relayytionship. I wait the whole show to hear him say relahhtionship. Seriously tho, his connection with dogs is amazing. I've seen him change peoples lives, just from helping them solve their dogs behaviour problems.

back to animal planet tho - yeah sometimes animal cops is too much for me. I hate to see animals suffering. but I like the end, when they show the animals all clean and healthy and happy in loving homes.

But the animawls are FWUZZYAH. I like the shows where animals get mauled. But then I like the KYUTE FWUZZIESOOH as well. I'm sick of fucking vets though, I don't like the "human element". I prefer my animals out in the wild, running free, getting savaged by wolves.

i liked the show that was like COPS mixed in with ANIMALS. the one where theyd go to seedy peoples houses and rescue a very dilapidated yet ridiculously cute spaniel-mix. and then they tkae the dog to the vet and the vet and the vet furstylist fixes up the dog.

sometimes theyd be called in to haul a GATOR out of the river near some old peoples houses.

i guess this mustve been set in florida??

yeah. i loved that show. miss it

ok this morning there was a chihuahua named honeybunz who was playing in a stick pile, and had a twig get shoved through it's gut. like a latina dog shish-ka-bob.

the best part of emergency vets, or animal cops, or animal rescue -- are the crackhead owners.

ok.. this is pathetic, but really. when you're at home, and a tidbit baked...

this "growing up" series is SO entrancing.

today is "growing up clouded leopard" in which they follow some abandoned newborn clouded leopards, through their first year of life.. precious!!! they live some random australian lady, in her house, and they're just babies.. and they play with the regular domesticated house cats. and it's cute-funny.

it's almost as good as "growing up sitka deer" which was.. amazing.

what other crap have i been watching lately? oh! meerkat manor. reality tv shows about meerkats? nerd-genius.
