Jam and Jerusalem is a British sitcom written and co-starring Jennifer Saunders. It is about the Women's Guild of a small West Country village. It started airing on 24 November 2006.
Jam and Jerusalem was originally shot as a pilot episode in 2005, but instead it developed into a full six-part series with a Christmas Special. It was filmed in North Tawton, Devon [1], Dartmoor and Staines. The programme is one of a group of shows being filmed in High-Definition for a trial run in November on the BBC. The daughter of Jennifer Saunders' character Caroline is played by Saunders' real life daughter, Freya Edmondson.
The theme tune is a version of The Kinks' The Village Green Preservation Society sung by Kate Rusby, whose songs are also used as incidental music. Unusually for a sitcom, there is no studio audience or laugh track.

Just to fill anyone in who doesnt know what im talking about.
Did anyone catch this on Friday. I caught the repeat last night, and thought it was pretty good. I laughed pretty hard anyway. It's got an amazing cast, and I didnt even spot Joanna Lumley until well into the episode. You'll literally gasp when you clock her.
