Awesome US drama series other than Twin Peaks?

It's obvious that Twin Peaks had a massive influence on US drama series, but I'm wondering: are they still doing stuff like that now? I get the urge to seek out new TV shows on DVD and such.

Carnivale is good, it's made by HBO but sadly only ran for 2 seasons i think...

p.s it has the midget guy (michael j anderson) from twin peaks in it as well...
