Kimberly Stewart's drinking has taken it's toll. The daughter of Rod Stewart has recently found out that she has a "very serious case of liver disease." Upon finding out her partying ways has caused her liver to deteriorate she is said to have not gone near any kind of alcohol. Rod spoke with his 27 year old daughter about the diagnosis to which her reasoning was her heritage.

"She said to me, 'Dad, I'm half Scottish, I thought I was allowed to drink a lot.' I said, 'No, darling, it doesn't work like that.'"
The offspring of Rod seem to have a weakness for booze and drugs as his son Sean also has problems of the gin-and-juice kind. Sean has had several "brushes with the law" and a few rehab stints with a side of drug addiction.

27 and with a serious liver condition already. I get called a boring square for saying this before but yes, just because you are young does not mean you are invincible and such illnesses dont just occur to wino bums in the alley.

Oh yeah, it isnt the alcohol's fault, its Kimberly Stewart's there's nothing bad about a substance, its what we do with it....

Kimberly Stewart is denying reports that she is suffering from liver disease – but she does tell PEOPLE that her dad Rod Stewart has "big mouth."

That's the clarification offered up by the daughter of the rock legend, after quotes surfaced from the elder Stewart saying that his daughter had "very serious liver illness from drinking too much."

"I love my dad but sometimes he has a big mouth and not just when he's singing," Stewart, 27, tells PEOPLE exclusively. "I don't have a liver disease. I was exhausted and feeling sick from burning the candle at both ends, and my doctor told me to cut back on drinking and smoking, which I have, and I feel so much better."

Reps for Rod Stewart say the comments, in the new issue of Rolling Stone, were taken out of context. "Kimberly had an inflamed liver and she's perfectly fine now," the rocker said in a statement.
