did neone else think that luna lovegood looks like a younger courtney?

I was like frantically hitting my friend's arm being like "Holy fuck! she looks like courtney. grrr....jealous...she looks like my idol and she played my dream role in a film....."

I just saw it today & coming from a non-HP freak (I have only read the first book, a long time ago) I really enjoyed it. Its kinda inspired me to start again & read the whole series.

his haircut was a little unfortunate though?

i liked the movie, i didn't have incredibly high expectations because there is so much in the book, how could they fit it ALL in?
buttt i thought sirius' death was a bit of an anti-climax. i thought it would be far more upsetting?
luna and snape were awesome!

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince will be released on November 21, 2008, according to imdb Just wanted to drop that in there.

I heard that the girl who played Luna is extremely obsessed with Harry Potter, she's so lucky it must have been her dream to get in that movie!

I agree on Sirius' death.. it was over really quickly that i didnt feel sad at all. Also they didnt bother to explain what he had fallen back into, so for people who havent read the book they'll be very confused as to what happened there.
I loved Luna, her and Harry should get together Snape was awesome, and I likd Bellatrix too. Just a shame a lot was rushed in this film, i only read book 5 the one time around but i still felt like there was a lot missing. They barely even explained what the Order was, and Tonks' character was skimmed over.

Apparently a scene with Bellatrix dueling Sirious before he did got cut. And it was better because it showed how he kinda slipped with his wand work instead of just, BOOM, you're dead.

and that there was also a lot more bellatrix, but it got cut. The 2 disk DVD will be fun.

The Sirius-in-a-bathrobe scene was my favourite, honestly. Apart from the Snape-Umbridge scene. Excellent movie.

I know, Helena is so perfect for that role.
She's one of my favorite characters, even though she's bad. I kinda thought she deserved a better death then she got.

And her and Snape can't happen. She's too in love with Voldemort.

Rumors say Narcissa will be played by Naomi Watts.
Other rumors say Joseph Fiennes and Stuart Townsend also signed on, Joseph will probably play Tom Riddle in flash backs, since Ralph Fiennes plays Voldemort.
Who/what Stuart will play isn't known yet.
But all representatives for the actors denied, so the rumors could be dead wrong.

I'm sure they will in some flash backs, but for others he might be too young I think.
I think the Voldemort who killed Lilly and James was much older than the Tom Riddle from SoC.
Dunno, just a guess, and the reps could be right, maybe Joseph won't even be in it.

So what exactly did Sirius fall back into then?

I didn't even get that Bellatrix died either. I thought she was just stuck in a fireplace.

This movie is so confusing, I think I'll download it and watch it again.
Or maybe I should just read the book.

sirius fell into a portal to the "other side" ... the other side being death. but they really don't explain that AT ALL in the movie and just have bellatrix avada kadavra him when that doens't even really happen!!

and bellatrix didn't die in the movie, she escaped through the flu system thing. maybe you are confused because of people talking about the last book?

but yeah, READ THE BOOK!
