| | OH no Hermione is quitting Harry Potter! http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/stor...showbiz1.shtml
By Dan Wootton
TEEN film star Emma Watson is about to do a vanishing act from Hogwarts — because the Harry Potter films have lost their magic.
The pretty 16-year-old, who plays key character Hermione Granger, wants a spell doing other roles.
She has REFUSED to sign a new contract, plunging the final two movies of the JK Rowling novels into crisis.
The feisty young actress has told producers that even doubling her pay packet to £2 million a movie won't do the trick.
Filming on the sixth film in the series — Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince — is due to start in months.
Daniel Radcliffe is already signed up to star as the quidditch-playing wizard and Rupert Grint will again play Harry's best pal Ron Weasley.
He told us: "Emma doesn't want to do it any more. She's tired of being known as ‘that girl from Harry Potter'."
She was shocked when a besotted fan stalked her at school.
Rupert added: "Daniel and I are distant from her now. We don't text or talk to her when we are not filming."
Their last film together — Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix — comes out in July.
Film makers Warner Brothers confirmed Emma, has not signed for more movies. |

| | what a silly little girl.
ruining it for EVERYONE. c'mooon you have like 2 movies left to make. the life of a movie star must be so hard.
. i just hate it when films or television have continuity issues. like when sam mitchell came back in eastenders as a completley different actress. that annoyed me.
everything should be proper. and perfect.
especially these books/films. because they are great.
although do i believe the news of the world? time shall tell.
nuff. |

| | | i dont really like the girl who plays Hermione, but even so its better to have the character be the same person especially after so long. I hate having to believe that another actor is that person.. |

She should just finish the series for crying out loud, it's been her bread and butter for several years now! Good luck on that film career.. |

| | | I'm glad Emma watson is doing the last film. Even though she isn't particularly brilliant I just wouldn't be able to accept another girl playing that role. |

When I saw the third movie, I didn't know Richard Harris had died, and I was like WTF?!? WHERE'S THE REAL DUBLEDORE?!?
I somehow think the new DD is too American when he speaks sometimes, and not British, fun and strict enough like the first one.
My fave DD scene is when Harry is in a hospital bed in the first movie, and DD visits him and takes one of those candy thingies that can taste like anything and he says he hopes he'll have one that tastes like toffee, and the next thing he says is "Alas, earwax!"
Loved that.
So I'm glad Emma changed her mind, because it would have sucked to have the last 2 movies with another Hermione. |

. | Michael Gambon? I dunno, he's a pretty funny guy which is cool, but yeah he is quite different from Harris.

| | | I think it just has to do with the fact that when I saw the first movie, DD was one of the only characters that looked exactly like I pictured him.
It was so cool, and when I saw the third, I was completely surprised.
If I had known Harris had died it wouldn't have been such a shocker to me. |
