But I agree MA is a def for costumes, along with Dreamgirls, Bobby, and Infamous.
MA is going to be this years Geisha. Itll do well with the techs. However it doesn't stand a chance at any acting or directing awards. Even though I'd love to see Judy Davis get nommed. |

| | pedro didnt do 'babel', but 'volver'.
'babel' is by alejandro gonzalez inarritu.
although maybe thats what you meant and it was just a simple mistake
i'm just gonna say id be surprised (based on the huge amount of buzz) if we didnt see penelope cruz, helen mirren, and cate blanchett (for one of her two movies) in the best actress category. |

| | the usual suspects i suppose. ya know, the nicoles, cates, renes, etcetcetc. not that theyre not good enough to deserve it but movies become a little less exciting to me when the pool of good ppl who are working and get recognition gets smaller and smaller....
i love to see the surprise nominees ,even though they hardly ever win. i love to see instances like adrien bordy winning. he was a new face, he deserved it, it showed the academy voters arent marking off ballots in a popularity contest..and he surely appreciated it like mad
i want to see forest whitaker get something for playing edi amin. he's such an underrated actor, and hes just unbelievably WHOA in that movie...and i havent even seen it!
oh yeah, and id LOVE LOVE LOOOOOOOVE, absolutely be over the moon if ryan gosling was nominated, let alone won. he NEEDS a freakin oscar, someone get that kid an oscar, ASAP!
