| | | The Official Veronica Mars - Season 3 Thread The third season premiere airs Oct. 3rd but it'll be put online at msn.com this Tuesday (the 26th). I'm not sure but I think the online version will only be viewable in the US. Maybe someone will find a way around it so international viewers can watch. |

*Hate the new opening credits
*Damn this Piz dude has the hots for Veronica, we all know what this means
*Wow Dick ----
*Poor Mac
Its nearly jumping the shark.
I'm sad its lost that cool noirish feel in cinematography and pep. |

| | | I didn't see any shark-jumping moments. Compared to Duncan and pregnant, sole-survivor Meg in a coma, things seemed pretty run-of-the-mill.
I think they adjusted the tone of the ep a bit to appeal more to Gilmore Girls' viewers but according to critics who've seen the first two eps, it goes back into standard VM mode in the second epsiode. |

| | | I've watched the ep a few times and discussed it ad nauseum at TWOP but its really good. Not the best episode they've done though. Almost like a small pilot that manages to keep us old faithful viewers happy. I really hate the new credits, more the remix than the credits, they have to fix that. |

Did anyone else notice that the Crim TA was Lucky?
Ok, so now I'm done watching and I have a few comments.
1. I hate the new version of the Dandy's song.
2. Nice shirt = best. line. ever.
3. I thought it was a little predictable; it was obvious that the person who was the victim in the end was going to be a victim. The person who is the primary suspect was also obviously going to be a suspect from the first 5 mins of the ep.
4. I liked the Kendall twist.

| | | I've noticed that people bring up lucky a lot as the t.a. and...this is slightly embarassing but I had a really difficult time remembering who lucky was last season. Then I finally remembered after visiting imdb.I don't know why that helped but for some reason looking up his info there clicked my brain back into my head. I'm slow. His wig is the worst I've ever seen. At least he's not all crazy bleaching feet man.
Anyway, enjoyed the episode. The show hasn't lost what made it special in the 1st season. I miss veronica's lebaron though. She doesn't strike me as loving a huge suv, but whatevers...it's all part of her makeover. Long hair, tons of makeup.
I'm happy mac is a regular now. piz is whatever to me...glad he got the argyle leftovers. Veronica and her men liking argyle.
The kendall twist was good...really didn't see it coming. I don't really follow spoilers for any shows (except for the office lately).
I hate the new theme song. The old version seemed to suit the show much better. I hope the execs in charge hear everybody's complaints and change it back. |

| | | im thrilled its back but i have to acknowledge that it's different this season, ie, no overarching major crime (unless you consider the campus rape the crime, but thats not as compelling as murder and i think its not going to last the whole season). it can never be as good as the first season, but i still love the dialog and characters.
wasnt Lamb supposed to die in the crash? but he was in the credits?
i loved that they reused Lucky in another role. didnt they used to do that on Popular? i havent seen that yet but someone told me they used that same device. i thought RT worked ont hat show too, but i looked it up & i guess he didnt.
i dont give a flying fuck about the credits or the theme song. just a personal opinion.
why do they insist on torturing us with LoVe drama? maybe its inevitable that it doesnt work for them, but damnit. at least we got a post-coitis scene to make it easier to tolerate.
all in all, the season premiere wasnt great , esp compared to last year's. but it was fun and ive read that the second ep tops the first by a longshot, so we'll see.
btw, love the scene with wallace, piz, and the fucking hackey-sack. fucking hackey sack, classic! |

Everyone was speculating last year that Lamb died in the plane crash. But Rob thomas confirmed that lamb wasn't in the plane. I think people were confused about lamb being there or not being there to get woody but I think he was back in neptune otherwise we would have seen him at the bust of woody goodman.
there really wasn't that much love drama in this episode. I'm sure piz is gonna sneak his way in there but I don't know....we might actually see veronica and logan be together for more than two episodes. Amazing!
the theme song bothers me because first of all, it's not even a remotely good remix. Plus it has no personality which I think vm is all about. It makes it seem like there trying to "class up the show" with the new theme. So it does bug me.

| | I think the first arc is 9 episodes and will run without repeats until the end od November sweeps. I think the other 2 arcs are 7 episodes and then 6 episodes.
I don't think Lamb was on the plane. I think he was in Neptune waiting for Woody to arrive. That's why he ordered Keith off the plane. I don't think he wanted Keith to get the photo op with Woody before he did. It's confusing. I originally thought he was on the plane too.
The opening scene from next week's episode is up at the Veronica Mars MySpace site. Looks pretty good. Just out of curiousity, does anyone consider that stuff spoilers or are we okay to talk about it here? |

| | | Veronica is really getting on my nerves. She's so smug and cocky and is acting all sexy. It's irritating. I dont know if that's just Kristen Bell shining through or what but she needs to bring it down a notch or two.
I found this week's MotW pretty boring. The Kendall and Cormac stuff was more interesting.
The rape storyline isnt interesting in the slightest.
It's a shame this show feels like it's going down hill so rapidly because it's been my favorite show since it first aired.
I hope next week's episode doesnt suck.
I hate Piz. |

| | | Here is my vote in terms of spoilers: I am ok talking about the opening scenes from the next week, and I am ok with speculation from others who are unspoiled. Last season we ended up with a separate spoiler thread, so maybe those who do read spoilers can start one? Also, since we're all stuck in this charming powder blue colour scheme, if anyone is concerned that what they say might be iffy, type in white font.
I really like to try (and fail) to solve the mysteries sans spoilers. Anyway, a second thread would solve any potential problem. |

| | | I'm loving the opening to this week's ep. It seems like they're giving us more of the dark side of the show, as opposed to the premiere which was kinda cheery by VM standards, probably to try to lure some Gilmore fans over.
And CW can we please get rid of the Aerie girls? Every single person I know who saw those ads wanted to kill them. |

| | | I actually thought this was one of the worst episodes ever. The plot was like pablum. It requires as many brain cells as watching the Gilmore Girls. I really hope next week is better. There weren't even any good one liners to speak of this week. (Maybe the line about star crossed lovers.) |

| | | It was clunky i think. but it was slowly starting to head towards season 1 where she's VO'ing her clues but it wasn't as sophisticated as S1. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
